Welcome to Kid’s Island! Take a break from the urban landscape, come sail away to our relaxing retreat for parents and a destination getaway for children! At Kid’s Island, we strive to create a calming and educational experience for your little one while they play. We want parents to unwind and unravel all of that stress! We love to serve children, but we love parents just as much! Have a coffee with friends or hop in the only indoor sandbox in Chicago and enjoy the sun shining through our windows!
Socks are required for all participants. Don’t have socks, no problem, we have a fun variety available for sale!

Tuesday: 10 am – 6:00 pm
Wednesday: 9 am – 5:00 pm
Thursday: 10 am – 6:00 pm
Friday: 9 am – 5:00 pm

Planning on a service next door at Wellness Nail Spa? Call us to schedule a supervised play visit while you enjoy your time at the nail spa! All Wellness appointments must be made through the spa.

What’s in the play space?
Chicago’s only Indoor Sandbox:
Do your kids love the sand at the park? Visit our kid’s indoor sandbox; it’s the only one in the United States! Groceries, dump trucks, shovels, pails, and all the sand toys your children love for the beach and park are featured in our indoor sand box! We cannot wait for your little ones to jump in and join us!
Our Play Sand Is:
- 100% Natural Product.
- Contains No Free Microcrystaline Silica.
- The silica is a common mineral found in sand and stones. Excessive inhalation of silica dust may cause cancer and lung disease. Avoid breathing dust generated from use of this product.
- Environmentally Friendly.
- Can be Washed and Used Over and Over.
- Sand is washed in five gallon buckets and slowly agitated to remove all debris and finally spread out to dry.
- Safe for Children of All Ages.
- Approved by the Highest Rating Services as Safe.
- Carries the Highest Approval Seal for Product Safety.
- Never Exposed to Animals ie. Cleaner than Park or Beach Sand
Market, Kitchen and Dramatic Play:
This is where budding chefs, doctors and little mommies and daddies can practice their skills with costumes and props just their size!
Structures and Transportation Area:
Build your own imaginary city at the lego table or ride around town in one of our cars. Train fanatic? We have a ton for your little conductor to choose from!
Our Learning Center will have rotating themes for your children to learn and explore. Science, art activities, math concepts and writing practice will be available for you and your child to experience.

Even the most active little pirate needs a place to retreat sometimes. We now offer a quiet, sensory based calming corner for your child. Grab a book or stressball and curl up on one of our beanbags and let them sail away to a calmer state of mind. We also have noise reducing headphones for those that need even less stimulation while visiting.
